Isabelle Forrer, a Swiss beach volleyball player, was born on March 28, 1982. She and her doubles partner, Anouk Vergé-Dépré, competed for their country at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
In the round of 16, the German duo of Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst eliminated Forrer and Vergé-Dépré (the eventual gold medal winners).
The ninth-place finishers were the duo of Forrer and Vergé-Dépré. They took third place at the 2016 World Tour Finals, held in Toronto. For the bronze medal, they beat the Brazilian duo of Larissa Franca and Talita Antunes in straight sets (21-19, 21-18).

Swiss beach volleyball pro Nina Betschart was born on October 14, 1995. At the inaugural European Games in 2015, she took home the gold.
Betschart has had a lot of success as a defence specialist at the youth level, winning two U21 World Championships and four European Underage Championship gold medals (two at the U20 level and two at the U22 level).
Joana Heidrich
Joana Heidrich, a Swiss beach volleyball player, was born in 1991. While competing in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, she played alongside Nadine Zumkehr.
Nadine Zumkehr
Nadine Zumkehr is a Swiss beach volleyball player. She was born on February 5, 1985. She started performing with Simone Kuhn in 2012.
Unfortunately for them, the eventual silver medalists, the American duo of Jennifer Kessy and April Ross, ousted them from the 2012 Summer Olympics tournament in the round of 16.

Lea Schwer is a Swiss beach volleyball player who was born on January 13, 1982, in Basel.
Sébastien Chevallier
Sébastien Chevallier, a Swiss beach volleyball player, was born on July 14, 1987. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he was paired with Sascha Heyer, however they were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
Jan Schnider
Jan Schnider, a Swiss beach volleyball player born on January 7, 1983 in Oensingen, is competing alongside teammate Martin Laciga in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.
Nicole Schnyder-Benoit
Nicole Schnyder-Benoit is a former professional beach volleyball player from Switzerland. She was born on March 13, 1973 in Magglingen, and she competed for her country in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.
In 2004, she won the European Championships with her partner Simone Kuhn in Timmendorfer Strand, Germany. The married mother of two sons, Schnyder-Benoit has a family.

Simone Kuhn
Born on September 2, 1980, in Wattwil, Switzerland, Simone Kuhn is a professional beach volleyball player who has competed for Switzerland in three Olympic beach volleyball tournaments:
in 2004 in Athens, Greece; in 2008 in Beijing, China; and in 2012 in London, England. While paired with Nicole Schnyder in 2004, she went winless in the first round of pool play.
She teamed up with Lea Schwer in 2008 and again went winless in their pool. Together with Nadine Zumkehr, she made it to the quarterfinals of the 2012 competition, where she and Zumkehr were ultimately ousted by the eventual silver medalist American duo, Jennifer Kessy and April Ross.
