Tonight is the first total lunar eclipse of 2022, and it will be a Super Flower Blood Moon. Here’s how and where to see it.
The first total lunar eclipse of 2022, often known as a “Supermoon,” “Blood Moon,” or a “Flower Moon,” will be visible to skywatchers in the Northern Hemisphere on Sunday night. Tonight, May 15, is when the eclipse will begin and last until early on May 16, according to NASA.
On the night of Sunday, May 15th, and Monday, May 16th, depending on your location, the full Flower Moon will turn red due to this event. Webcasts of the Flower Blood Moon eclipse will begin at 9:30 p.m. EDT on April 1. (0130 GMT).

TimeandDate.com states that the first partial lunar eclipse will occur on May 15 at 10:28 p.m. EDT (0228 GMT on May 16). On May 16 at 12:11 a.m. EDT, the Blood Moon will be at its fullest (0411 GMT). At 1:55 a.m. EDT, the celebration will come to a close (0555 GMT).

Regrettably, that is not the case. India will be unable to catch a peek of the eclipse this weekend, but people in South America, Europe, and the Middle East will get to witness the Moon turn a blood red.

Can You Risk Your Eyes by Looking at a Moon Eclipse?
A lunar eclipse may be seen from anywhere on Earth, while a total solar eclipse can only be seen from inside a line of totality that is about 100 miles wide when the Moon’s shadow moves across the land in relation to the location of the Sun.
It is quite safe to view a lunar eclipse progress with the naked eye, unlike a total solar eclipse, which requires special preparations.
