Let’s delve into the details of this game, spotlight key players, and answer some frequently asked questions about the NFL.

The San Francisco 49ers will take on the Philadelphia Eagles at 1 p.m. ET.

These NFC foes both have wins from Week 1. With a final score of 41–33, the 49ers (1-0 SU, 0-1 ATS) prevailed over the Lions but were unable to cover the 9.5-point spread on the road. The Eagles (1-0 SU, 1-0 ATS) blew out the Falcons (0-1) 32-6 as 3.5-point underdogs on the road.

San Francisco was initially installed as a 3.5-point road favourite in this line. Many bettors are taking the points with the surging 49ers. However, the odds have changed, as the line has moved from 49ers -3.5 to -3.

The wise guys are jumping on Philadelphia plus the hook (3.5) at home, signalling a sharp reverse line movement on the Eagles. As a West Coast team playing an Eastern team at 1 p.m. ET, San Francisco faces the difficulty of players’ body clocks being thrown off by the time change.

The second road game in a row is a tough position in the schedule, and San Francisco is facing it. Referee Brad Allen has a track record of favouring the home team (58-47 ATS, 55.2% of the time).

The Buffalo Bills take on the Miami Dolphins at 1 p.m. ET.

Last week, despite being 6.5-point home favourites, the Bills lost their season opener against the Steelers 23-16. Meanwhile, the Dolphins were 3.5-point underdogs when they entered Foxboro and came away with a 17-16 victory over the Patriots.

At first, the Bills were 3.5-point favourites to win at home. The general public thinks the Bills are fantastic and expects them to beat Miami after their recent loss. Despite the heavy money on one side, the line has stayed put at 3.5.

Some stores even appear to be edging toward a 3 price point. If you’re interested in buying low on the Dolphins, especially at 3.5 with the hook, you should probably do so now before the line thaws. If you’re looking for a home division dog with some edge, Miami is a good pick.

Due to the inherent familiarity creating a level playing field, divisional dogs tend to bark the loudest. During the past decade, September division dogs have had an about 60% ATS.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Indianapolis Colts, 1 p.m. ET

This Week 2 non-conference game is one of the best opportunities to “buy low and sell high.” On Sunday Night Football, as 9.5-point home favourites, the Rams blew out the Bears 34-14. While the Seahawks covered as 3-point home favourites, the Colts lost 28-16.

In the opening odds, the Los Angeles Lakers were given a 4-point road advantage. People are flocking to the windows to lay the points with the Rams because they can’t believe the line is this low and they predict a rout.

Los Angeles has been the clear favourite in the betting, but the line hasn’t moved from -4 or even -3.5. This could be a sign of the Colts’ vulnerability to wiseguy risk. The Rams, who play on the West Coast but travel to the East Coast for a 1 p.m. game, are also in a tough schedule place.

Since almost 75% of tickets are riding with the Rams, Indianapolis is also one of the top contrarian plays of the week.

Minnesota Vikings at. Arizona Cardinals, 4:05 p.m. ET

The public’s view of these squads is diametrically opposed to one another. The Vikings lost 27-24 on the road to the lowly Bengals, despite being a 3-point favourite.

Meanwhile, despite being 2.5-point road underdogs, the Cardinals dominated in a 38-13 victory over the Titans. The opening line for this game had Arizona as 4.5-point favourites at home.

A lot of people are mad at the Cardinals, even though they played far better than the Vikings in Week 1. However, this line has dropped significantly, from 4.5 to 3.5, indicating a severe reversal line movement on the road dog.

Away underdogs with a point spread record of 6-1 so far this season and 51-33 ATS (61%) last season are the best performing group in the short road dog market. Dogs from the previous Minnesota season that did not make the playoffs went 9-2 against the spread in Week 1.
